31 days

Hey I have been praying for my husband as a part of this challenge.  I found it through another website and am loving each day of prayer.  Although I have not seen a HUGE change in my husband I have seen small  changes which I am thanking God for just as much.  I am also seeing changes in myself which is even better.  This challenge ends next week but I think that I will go through it again since I am enjoying it so much.  We all need prayer right!!!!!

Now to tell you about the happenings over here.  You all know that I have wanted to leave SC and move closer to home, Ca, for quite some time now.  Well hubby has been interviewing for a job in Az and they want to fly him out for a visit and third interview.  We have done some looking at the city in Az and don't think that it will be a good fit for our family which isn't what I want to hear.  Flagstaff is a city that sits by itself and the closest large city, Phoenix, is 2.5 hours away which is a bummer.  I really want this move but don't want to get somewhere and be unhappy again.  He will go out to make sure and see first hand if it will work for our family and to prevent any second guesses later.  Who knows maybe he might like it.  If not at least my DH is now open to relocating our family.  Hey I guess that would be a HUGE change that I am seeing due to my prayer.  God shows us things and sometimes we don't even notice.  My eyes have just opened during my typing.
Has God worked in your life recently and you didn't even realize it until a big AH HA moment?

Progress!!!

Well as most of you know I have joined the 3 in 30 challenge for this year.  If you don't know what it is , instead of making a year long resolution you take 3 things a month that you want to work on.  So we are 14 days into January and I am doing good I must say.  My first was to pray for my husband and so far I have done that every day thanks to 31 Days to a Better Spouse.
#2 was to be WITH my kids not just with them and we have some progress and of course it can always be better.  I think as a homeschool mom it's harder for me because I am never without my children so making sure I have quality and not just quantity time is important.
I don't want to be in the background and miss the precious time.
Lastly #3 was to take a day for myself.  I haven't had a day but I did have a few hours last Saturday when DH took the boys to flag football and little miss KC went also.  Tomorrow I will be meeting with a friend to catch up.  This is great for me and I wanted to share with you all.

Do you have any resolutions that are going well or not so well already?

My 3 in 30!!!!!

As I read the many blogs with New Year's Resolutions and goals I have felt somewhat overwhelmed by all the goals.  I do want join in but don't want to be disappointed in myself if I don't reach them.  Then I saw the 3 in 30 challenge and decided that it would work for me.  Setting 3 goals a month seems very attainable for me.  2011 wasn't the best year for me.  I am wanting 2012 to be much better so monthly goals it is.  I have been thinking what I want so here are my 3 for January.

1.  Pray for my husband.  I joined the 31 days to pray for your spouse.  I want to purposely pray for my husband's salvation and becoming the spiritual leader of our family.
 2.  Be with my children.  I am a homeschool mom and sometimes I have considered I am with them just because we are together but I want to take the time to do things that they want and if possible have date nights with each child.

3.  Take a day for myself.  Since I do homeschool I am never without my children.  I do need that time to refresh myself so I can be the happy and not crabby mom.  This day can be a date with my hubby.

So do you have a 3 for this month?  I hope I can look back on Feb 1 and say that I have accomplished my 3.  I am linking up to
